Parenting, Inc.

I just finished this one up. Its a really good read on the how's & why's of America becoming obsessed with its own offspring.

Not so many decades ago, weren't we all in beat up Osh Kosh's, ratty ole unisex Onesies and playing with dirt & sticks? I clearly remember my toddlerhood outfit being a red local BBQ joint t shirt with some Piggly Wiggly looking logo on it, matched with navy blue sweatpants and suspenders with rainbow hearts on them. Not Baby Gucci.

I saw something akin to this in a baby store recently. A Bliss Baby Spa? Are you kidding me? The little attachment on the left creates jacuzzi bubbles for your infant's bathing experience. Oh, Jesus.
