wedding images

I've always loved weddings and have been reminiscing about this time last year when I was in the thick of planning mine. I tend to get obsessed about things I really like & I am a huge planner, therefore Philipp is probably really glad we're married already. Me too, but I love party planning & design so I miss that creative outlet.

Strangely enough, I am not an animal person at all, but always loved this shot (not enough to let my sister's lab attend like she wanted, though).

This was a wedding that inspired me while I was planning mine last year. I am not as crafty as I'd like to be and I had really disparate ideas about what I wanted ours to look like, so it did not turn out as intricately as this one, but we had a great time:And a few shots from ours that I particularly like:Oh, and some things I would have done differently if there was a second go round:
*no bouquet toss/garter toss--it was just confusing and lame; we had only 50 guests and not many single people
*have someone else do our ceremony--someone who would not at the last minute implant their religious views into the secular vows we had written & they agreed upon
*exclude a handful of people who I invited only out of propriety; even though our guest list was under 55 people, just out of principle
*kept the cheapo guy who did our engagement & bridal portraits (he did a great job); we paid WAY too much for our day of photography!
*not do favors--hardly anyone took them home and I now am the humble owner of about 50 little tin buckets
*put live flowers on the little wedding cake

Thats all!

(On a side note: after writing all of this, I feel like one of those The Knot freaks who live for their wedding day and never progress after it....no no no!)

Never bloody happy!

Personally as a guest, I felt your wedding was lovely and ever so 'you'. Of course, I've only been to 2 weddings before, one of whom was my dads.

Plus, I did take me little bucket home. I have it in my locked box along with a little pendent with a bee and a few other odds and sods from the years & friends past.

you living out east yet?
