Admittedly, this is because its often the easiest way to look pulled together while still putting little to no effort into it. Lately I have been intrigued by white dresses. The shorter more 1950's esque type, something one would wear to a real swanky summer party or an informal courthouse wedding. These few come to mind:



Oh. And I am not at all opposed to living in a dream world wherein I am a rich pre-feminism era housewife from the 1940-50's who does nothing but buy really expensive white dresses.Check out Stephanie James Couture for some really amazingly crafted dresses. I also think that pillbox hats, white gloves and cage veils should definitely come back in vogue.
And one more I could not resist; not nearly as fancy but so adorable. A maternity summery one:
I want it so bad, but that's a bit much in the preemptive buying department. You know, considering I am not pregnant and all. But, whatever.
