There is a really great park less than 10 minutes down the road from us. Its got a lake with ducks and a little bridge leading over to a gigantic wooden play structure complete with a sandpit, slides, swings, etc. The whole thing is just really well made and so imaginative and fun for children to play on. We've brought Georgia out there several times already but she mainly stuck to the sandbox and watched all the action of the other kids from afar.We timed it right today somehow and Georgia had the place pretty much all to herself. This is when our little girl feels most free. She likes to have the time to survey a place, notice all the details, test out the waters & become secure before diving in. She explored the entire area and had such fun climbing the steel slides and hiding with her Papa in all the little nooks and small spaces.
I really like who she is at the moment and wish I could freeze & keep her this way awhile longer. She's so easy and fun to hang out with and learns something new all the time. She is obsessed with pointing at things and communicates pretty well although her words are still very few. It's insane the amount of joy that goes through me when I put a handful of berries in front of her or pick her up from her crib in the morning with her new smile reaching both sides of the room. Every really shitty thing of your entire life melts away every morning on account of a few tiny little teeth and two fat, chubby hands reaching out for you--no lie!
"Please need us to buckle your shoes forever!" is what my heart feels the most these days.
